The California Legislature needs a very close watch.

We, as citizens, need to do our best to keep BAD Bills from becoming BAD law.

On the rare occasion that there is a GOOD Bill put forth, we need to make sure that the GOOD Bill becomes GOOD law.

WELCOME TO CALIFORNIA
The Democrats have had a lock on the California government for the past twenty years.  In that time, California has dropped from being the "Golden State" to the "Fools Gold State" .

In the last eight years Democrats have had a super-majority in both of the State Houses and the Governorship, meaning they do whatever they want.  They have treated this State with the same care and respect as they would if they are all eight year old kids that have been let loose in an empty Walmart with no supervision.  So now California is the welfare state of the nation, having one third of nation's welfare recipients, as well as having one third of the nations homeless.  It has an estimated 1.7 Trillion Total State and Local Debt.  And, when factoring in the cost of living, California is the poorest state in the nation.

So, on to the laws themselves.  When you click on "Read the Bill" you'll be taken to the "Today's Law As Amended" page, on the "California Legislative Information" website.
Gun Laws are on the "2nd Amendment Movement" page

SB-1424 is straight from what the Globalists in the EU are trying to pass.  The aim is to destroy global communication between people and allow only Government sanctioned information to be presented.
SB-1424   Richard Pan (D-Senate District 6)
Pan wants control of all information on the Internet in California, even information coming from outside California.  Pan wants everything "Fact-checked.".  This is what should be "Fact-checked" according to Pan's Bill “social media” means: an electronic service or account, or electronic content, including, but not limited to, videos, still photographs, blogs, video blogs, podcasts, instant and text messages, e-mail, online services or accounts, or Internet Web site profiles or locations.

AB-2943 Unlawful business practices: sexual orientation change efforts.
Low (D)
This would limit free speech for all Californians, but especially for our ministers, clergy, and people of faith. AB 2943 makes it a fraud to offer counseling, literature, pamphlets, or other material to adults questioning their sexuality. Yes, even if the adult seeks it out.  What this truly boils down to is setting up our religious institutions for lots of red tape and litigation, all while limiting free speech for all Californians.  This is a dangerous precedent!  The hearing is set for Tuesday, June 12th, at 1:30pm in the Senate Judiciary Committee.  Below is a list of the Senate Judiciary Committee members.  If your Senator is on this list, CALL THEM! EMAIL THEM! TWEET THEM!  Let them know that AB 2943 is a serious limitation of free speech!  Below there are talking points on AB 2943, straight from Senator Mike Morrell's office.  Use them to let your Senator know you OPPOSE AB 2943!

Talking Points From Senator Morrell:
  • Everyone should be free to find therapy and support to help them achieve their desired goals and outcomes.
  • In a client-therapist relationship, the client is in the driver’s seat.  They set their own goals which the therapist helps them achieve.
  • Politicians have no business telling people that their counseling goals are illegal.
  • AB 2943 prevents adults from setting their own therapy goals.
  • AB 2943 violates the First Amendment by banning sales of books and church events that help people live according to their faith.
  • AB 2943 uses threats of lawsuits and punitive damages under the Consumer Protection Act to punish people for speaking about views the government doesn’t like.
